About the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Supply Teachers and Temporary Staff 2 Framework
Crown Commercial Services, as the Authority, intends to put in place an agreement for the provision of Supply Teachers and Temporary Staffing for use by public sector schools and educational establishments including:
• Schools (primary and secondary, maintained and academies)
• Further and higher education establishments
• Nurseries and pre-schools
• Other public sector organisations with educational needs such as local authorities, central government departments, hospitals, and prisons.
It is not available to independent (for-profit) schools.
The existing agreement is coming to an end and therefore they are retendering their £650 million Framework agreement for suppliers and providers to tender and join for the next 4 years.
This framework covers roles for both SEND and non-SEND provision, including but not limited to:
• Teachers (Qualified and Unqualified)
• Educational support staff such as teaching assistants and cover supervisors
• Headteachers and senior leaders
• Admin, clerical, finance, IT, maintenance, caterers, cleaners and drivers
The current proposed lot structure is as follows:
Lot 1: Preferred Suppliers List – direct provision of temporary and fixed term workers
Lot 2: Managed Service Contracts – direct provision of temporary staffing needs, using a supply chain of other agencies where needed
Potential requirements for bidders:
• Can commit to obtain prior to the commencement of the contract or already has in place Public liability Insurance, Employers’ liability Insurance and Professional indemnity Insurance
• Previous experience of delivering the same or similar services
• Cyber Essentials Certification
• Hold and maintain certification from and approved Accreditation Body*
• Carbon Reduction Plan*
