The new agreement will cover Temporary, Fixed-term and Permanent recruitment services for all the following functions:

  • nursing and midwifery roles
  • medical and dental roles
  • allied health professionals
  • health science services
  • emergency services personnel
  • social care staffing
  • administration and secretarial roles
  • finance, accounts and audit roles
  • IT technicians, analysts and technical engineer specialists, digital workers
  • legal secretaries, paralegals and lawyers
  • environmental and scientific roles, for example: EA and senior assistant scientists, technical and clinical coders, including health records secretaries
  • caterers, drivers and security
  • estates and maintenance roles, including general labour and specialist labour such as electricians and surveyors

The Opportunity

The Workforce Alliance Clinical and Non-Clinical Temporary and Permanent Staff

Framework (RM6397) will provide comprehensive access to public and third sector organisations to hire clinical and non-clinical workers through a range of engagement types, including permanent and fixed-term recruitment, temporary positions and contractors across the UK. This framework covers temporary, fixed-term and permanent clinical and non-clinical staff for the next four years.

The current proposed lot structure is as follows:

  • Lot 1: Nursing and Midwifery
  • Lot 2: Medical and Dental
  • Lot 3: AHP, Health Science Services and Emergency Services
  • Lot 4: Social Care
  • Lot 5: Admin & Clerical
  • Lot 6: Corporate
  • Lot 7: IT
  • Lot 8: Legal
  • Lot 9: Clinical Coding & Technical
  • Lot 10: Estates & Facilities
  • Lot 11: Provision of a Managed Service – Clinical
  • Lot 12: Provision of a Managed Service – Non-Clinical
  • Lot 13: Provision of a Managed Service – Clinical and Non-Clinical

Who are the NHS Workforce Alliance?

The NHS Workforce Alliance is a partnership between the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) and NHS Procurement hubs, including (NHS Commercial Solutions (NHSCS), NHS East of England Collaborative Procurement Hub (EOECPH), NHS London Procurement Partnership (LPP) and NHS North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOECPC)), designed to help the NHS and other public sector organisations secure a sustainable workforce. It does this by providing access to various recruitment services and frameworks to find staff, both permanently and temporarily, and offers support for workforce planning and management

Current expected prerequisites for Bidding

To participate in this framework opportunity, organisations must meet comprehensive compliance requirements, including:

  • Carbon Reduction Plan*
  • Cyber Essentials Certification
  • Previous experience of service delivering evidence will be required
  • Public Liability Insurance, Employers’ Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Financial Viability Risk Assessment to be undertaken using the authority’s appropriate FVRA tool
